iKi SRL One Day and Half Day Workshop Outcomes

The goal of these courses is to provide teachers with systems to manage the classroom effectively and optimize student learning. Effective classroom management requires use of Evidence Based tools, including positive guidance strategies for promoting appropriate individual behaviour, along with maintaining a good group-learning environment. Course participants will learn to clearly define expectations in all contexts, to use effective praise and encouragement, and reinforce their understanding of the importance of consistency for early childhood development.

Behavior management is one of the biggest challenges childcare Educators and Teachers encounter on a day to day basis. This course offers strategies and activities to help build a productive and respectful learning environment, while also providing key practices to deal with challenging behaviour.

Workshop participants learn how to implement iKi in their day to day activities and use the extensive Online resources.

iKi Safe Respectful Learners (SRL) workshops provide educators and organisations with the tools they need to meet and exceed the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.

Studies show that children need positive, fair and consistent guidelines to flourish. At the heart of iKi SRL is a set of Principles that are the foundation of effective behaviour management. Via a catchy song, students learn the iKi Rulz and quickly ‘own’ them. These Rules provide the language and ideas to clearly communicate expectations and consequences in a way that is easy to implement in the classroom, the playground and at home.

Additionally, research proves that incorporating physical activity into learning environments leads to changes in brain activity and better performance in cognitive tests, concentration and social interaction. iKi SRL Workshops show how to use iKiFit activities, engaging students in fitness and positive life skills.
And did we mention it’s fun?
