What's Good for the Goose... Part III

Geese are fully committed to one another.  A formation of geese will alter its plans, reschedule its arrival time and inconvenience itself to accommodate any strangers seeking acceptance.

Ask yourself if you would do the same.  If the answer is yes, then put it into practice.  If it is no, then exchange a selfish attitude for a selfless one.  Don't be too callous to care or too busy to be bothered.

Next time you're feeling down or feel that the world is against you, reach out to another.  The Dalai Lama tells us that happiness can be found through exchanging self-centredness for selflessness.  Try it.

Take time this week to be thoughtful and empathetic towards a colleague, stranger in the street, or even a family member.  Your kindness and giving of yourself will do wonders for their self-esteem and self-value, and you will discover just how good you feel in return.
